“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” — Luke 2:10-11
As we celebrate Christmas, I find myself reflecting on the leadership of Jesus. His birth was a humble beginning, yet His life and teachings have impacted the world like no other leader, EVER. For us leaders, Jesus sets the ultimate example of servant leadership. What strikes me the most about His leadership is how deeply personal His love was for each of us — and how that love continues to inspire me as a leader!

Jesus didn’t lead from a distance. He called His disciples by name, met them where they were,
and invested deeply in their lives. Each interaction He had was personal, tailored to the unique
needs and struggles of the people He encountered. He healed the sick, forgave sins, and showed
compassion to the outcast — all in ways that demonstrated His understanding of their hearts.
This personal love is what makes Jesus’s leadership so profound. He wasn’t just concerned with the “Group”; He cared for the individual. And His ultimate act of love — sacrificing Himself on the cross — was done for you and for me, individually. It’s the kind of love that humbles me and challenges me to lead with the same intentionality. Anybody under my care, I want to see that they individually thrive in all areas of their life!
Galatians 6:10 says “Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.”
At Atlas, we strive to reflect that same personal care in how we lead our team. It’s not just about getting the work done; it’s about loving on our people and creating opportunities for them and their families. Over the years, we’ve made it a priority to celebrate our team members, invest in their growth, and recognize their value — not just as employees but as people!
Each and every moment that I see new growth in our team members, or a celebration of an award won, or the joy their kiddos face at one of our family fun events, It’s in these moments that I see a glimpse of what it must have been like for the disciples to experience Jesus’s love firsthand – a love that not only uplifts but also opens the door to new possibilities.
As leaders, we face storms in the pursuit of growth. The day I made the
decision to launch Atlas, it seems like inevitably every time we grow
through an adversity, there’s another area of growth lurking. Every
time I feel “stress” coming on, Jesus’s example reminds me to stay
calm, trust the process, and lead with faith, even when the waves are
crashing. That calm creates stability for those around us and shows
them there is hope, even in difficulty. When the disciples feared for
their lives during a storm, Jesus simply said,
“Peace! Be still!” (Mark 4:39). His confidence wasn’t rooted in
circumstances but in His unwavering faith and purpose.

This Christmas and holiday season, I personally pray that you find joy in reflecting on the love and leadership of Jesus. His birth marked the beginning of a story that has changed the world — and can continue to change our hearts if we let it.
What storms are you dealing with this season? Whether it’s personal challenges, business or organizational pressures, or all the whirlwinds of life, remember the calm assurance Jesus provides. His peace is available to steady us, even when the waves feel overwhelming.
I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. May your holiday season be filled with peace, love, and the kind of hope that comes from knowing a Savior who loves you personally and leads us with grace.
